Community Projects
A builder's character shows when no invoice is involved. These two structures — a storage shed and a scoreboard for the Avon Little League at Sperry Park — were built in April 2015 with donated time, materials, and community goodwill.
Sperry Park Community Storage Shed
This new storage shed — which also serves as a public address booth — was built in April 2015. Jeff Anton, Michael McGreal, David Dzenutis, John Orzel, and the Town of Avon Public Works Department donated their time to help build this for the little league. That's what a builder rooted in a community looks like.
Some materials were donated by Miners Inc, and Ben Dunning from Dunning Sand and Gravel. The Rotary Club in Avon also generously donated to this as well.
The Avon Little League now has this beautiful building on field 2 that we can use for the little league and district all star games.
Sperry Park Ballfield Scoreboard
The new scoreboard and posts for scoreboard were installed in April 2015. The posts were custom made from Yarde Metals, custom painted by Paint and Powder. The Town of Avon Public Works Department dug the holes for the posts, and Pepin Steel used their crane to install the posts. John Orzel from Semac Electric wired the scoreboard.
Many thanks to all of the people that donated for the new scoreboard!!!
